Lil wayne visted the late night host Jimmy Kimmel for a rare sit-down appearance to promote his new album. While there, he opened up about his last seizure (which fueled death bed reports), the time he alleged that he had slept with Chris Bosh’s wife Adrienne and his plans for retirement.

On whether he is still planning to retire, Wayne stated, "Yes I am. it’s very true. I want to retire afterThe Carter 5, which I hope will be my last album. My next album isn’t The Carter 5 […] but after The Carter 5, I hope I can retire."

Kanye West released this statement through his reps, 

“This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit."

"It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news" sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."

Former “American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has called for original judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson to be reinstated in a bid to save the flailing talent show.  By the way Lythgoe announced on Twitter yesterday that he's been let go.  Turns out what he wants doesn't matter now anyway...

"I am truly saddened to be leaving a great team of friends and colleagues. However, at the end of the day, the most important thing is to maintain this incredible platform for America's young talent," Lythgoe said Monday. "This will only happen with the success of the program. If the executives that are now in charge of 'American Idol' believe that the ratings will improve with my departure, I have no complaints. It has been a great ride and I've loved every moment of it."

BET is about to drop a few new shows. They are developing four unscripted shows for the network, which will include "Hip Hop Sisters." That show will follow MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, MC Smooth, Monie Love and Lil Mama attempting to relaunch their careers, according to Eurweb. The other shows will include something for the Gospel folks, called, Gone Gospel, a music competition. Plus BET is working on hitting the fitness level by incorporating fitness coach Jeanette Jenkins and her show, "Back to me with Jeanette Jenkins. Check out the new line up of BET, on top of the renewed shows, such as The Game, Real Husbands of Hollywood and more.
