SAD NEWS: ANDRE 3000 LOSES HIS MOTHER
Andre "3000" Benjamin's mother Sharon Benjamin-Hodo has passed away, a representative for the musician and actor confirms to Billboard.
Benjamin-Hodo was the founder and guiding force of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA -- the church of her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo.
According to unconfirmed reports, she was found dead in her Atlanta home on what was her son’s 38th birthday.
In lieu of flowers, continued support of The Starlight Camp is appreciated by the family, Benjamin’s spokesperson notes.
CHRIS BROWN DISSES MANAGEMENT TEAM
Chris took to Twitter to blast his management team for being "incompetent." He tweeted earlier this week that his album release date has been changed. He wrote, "My management is so incompetent at times that they don't communicate. So teambreezy.. Blame these Wack n****s for the release being moved."
He later deleted the tweet, then wrote, "Video/single will be released soon. Not gonna tell y'all an exact date becuz I keep getting false info."
Chris Brown's new album X was set to be released on July 16th.
Kelly Rowland has revealed Beyonce's reaction of her single "Dirty Laundry" -- where Kelly admits that she was jealous of Bey's success and was in an abusive relationship. She said in a radio interview, "I played it for her and Michelle. She was just like 'I never left.' Which was so sweet. It was endearing. She heard how real I was and she was just like 'I'm so proud of you.'"
She said about the song, "It was a form of therapy and I feel like everybody has their version of 'Dirty Laundry.' And it's nothing to be ashamed of because you're supposed to grown and learn from it like I did. It was the place that I was in...I was so young. My head was completely gone. That's what happened with my sister. What matters to me most is what we have. I'm so grateful for what we have as sisters...away from Destiny's Child."
Kelly also admitted that the 2006 Destiny's Child "Girl" was about her situation. She said, "The funny thing is, I cannot believe how freakin' spot on everybody was with that! Because between 'Bad Habit' and 'Girl'....that WAS that time in my life. Y'all are just a little crazy [laughs]. They [the fans] 'be knowin!"
