Nicki Minaj denies that she's taking shots at Rihanna on "I'm Out," her new single with RiRi's arch enemy Ciara. Specifically, Nicki takes exception to a Tweet from BET's 106th and Park that she's “sneak disses” Rihanna on the track. 

She writes on Twitter, “Damn, fam, I would expect a black channel to actually understand rap bars. Song is a male-bashing song. FOH. I rock with both. If they don’t like each other, that’s on them. I’m just out here working."

• Nicki's telling off BET now. She must really be feeling herself. 
• This whole Rihanna-Ciara beef feels fake.
• This might just be a stunt to create a buzz for the song.

The streets are really anticipating J. Cole's sophomore project, Born Sinner -- so much that he's pushed the release up from June 25th to June 18th. One little detail -- that's the day Kanye West's album is rumored to be dropping.

A source tells the Hollywood Reporter, "J. has been working non-stop to put out his album a week earlier -- living in the studio, bringing in full orchestras and a choir." And J. says, "I wanted to come out earlier, but I kept hitting these creative zones where I couldn't finish. 'Cause I kept making more and more and more. It…was effortless, how I made this album."

• J. Cole can't outsell Yeezy -- is he crazy? Or is he just trying to ruffle Kanye's feathers?
• At least J.'s album has a title and a firm date.
• Well, Kanye can claim that he hit June 18th first.

A female fan is OK after Miguel accidentally slammed her with a flying leg drop at last night's Billboard Awards. Miguel was performing his hit "Adorn" when he tried to jump from the the stage to a catwalk, but ended up crushing a fan in the audience.

After the performance, Miguel met with the fan, identified only as Khyati, backstage. He sheepishly told ABC, "Well, I think it's kind of clear what happened. But I'm very happy to [meet] my new friend, Khyati... Unfortunately, we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're okay." 

When asked what he was thinking when he attempted his leap, Miguel said, "The crazy thing is, when you're performing and you're just kind of into it, you never know where it's gonna go and where you're gonna go with it, and how that might turn out. So this is one of the less favorable moments."

• Miguel can say sorry all he wants, but he better have a good lawyer on speed dial. 
• Khayti is lucky he didn't break her neck. 
• Miguel looks like he could give Hulk Hogan a run for his money. 

Janet Jackson's so-called retirement didn't last long -- she now says she's working on new music for the first time in more than five years.

Miss Jackson tells Billboard that fans shouldn't believe stories that she'd ditched her career and moved to the Middle East with new hubby Wissam Al Mana. She says, "I am working on a new project now. We are creating the concept and initial thoughts on the music. I am excited about the direction we are taking. I don't want to rush it… I don't want to put a time constraint on the creative process."

Janet's last album was 2008's Discipline, which debuted at number-one but sold a disappointing 449,000 copies overall.
