DR. DRE, SNOOP DOGG: Star-Studded Reunion at Coachella

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's much anticipated closing set last night at the Coachella Valley Music Festival in Indio, California lived up to and even surpassed all expectations. The duo -- celebrating 20 years since they first worked together this year -- put on a show that not only included many of the highlights of those two decades, but dropped guest stars on the crowd like they were hot.

Eminem, 50 Cent and Tony Yayo, Warren G and Kurupt, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar all joined Dre and Snoop, but maybe most impressive was the return via hologram of Tupac Shakur. The lifelike 3D replica of the slain rapper first did "Hail Mary" on his own then literally traded rhymes with Snoop on "2 of Amerika's Most Wanted." The late Nate Dogg, who was originally rumored to be returning as a hologram, didn't. But he was represented by a photo montage during the performance of "Ain't No Fun" with Warren G. and Kurupt.

The set began with Dre and Snoop rising to the stage from beneath it and ended with them returning to below the stage.

  • They began with "Next Episode," which included verses of "Kush" "Ain't Nothin' But a G Thang" and "Gin and Juice." They then performed the first joint they ever did together, "Deep Cover."
  • Their other songs included "Jump Around," "Drop It Like It's Hot," "California Love" (preceded by Frank Sinatra on the video screen singing "L.A. Is My Lady,") "What's My Name" and "Still D.R.E."
  • Wiz Khalifa did "Young Wild and Free," Kendrick Lamar did his Dre-produced song "The Recipe"
  • 50 Cent and Yayo did "P.I.M.P." and "In Da Club"
  • Eminem did "I Need a Doctor" "Forgot About Dre" and "Till I Collapse"

Dre and Snoop are signed on for a return engagement next Sunday night at Coachella's second weekend. No word as to whether all their guests will return with them.

Also making appearances at Coachella this weekend: Rihanna, who guested with DJ Calvin Harris last night, and Usher, who joined David Guetta on stage during his set on Saturday.

According to the Young Money boss, I Am Not a Human Being Two will be the first out the gate, with a release "before summer." --

DIDDY: Someone's Sleeping in My Bed

On April 1st, a man snuck into Diddy's mansion in Long Island, New York's Hamptons resort and had a free-for-all -- until a caretaker called the police. 30-year-old Quamine Taylor made his way into the palace through an unlocked basement door and ate Diddy's food, drank his liquor and soda, and slept in his bed over the course of about 24 hours. When police came, he admitted that he's been "going to the house from time to time since 2001... I stay there a lot, but Sean gets funny sometimes [about it].

Taylor's mom says her son suffers from mental illness -- and apparently he's been off his meds. --Source: New York Post

THE WEEKND: Woman Offers Sex for Concert Tickets

Tickets to The Weeknd's upcoming shows have been selling like wildfire, but one woman is willing to go to the extreme to see him perform. A San Francisco woman posted on Craigslist, "I'm willing to trade [one hour] of sex to go see The Weeknd. [I'm] five-foot-five and 140 pounds with a nice [butt] and [chest]. I'm really serious."

Strangely enough, the woman didn't specify which date she's interested in attending. But then again, maybe it doesn't matter. --

BEASTIE BOYS: Inducted Into Rock Hall

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland added a little more hip-hop flavor on Saturday night by inducting the Beastie Boys, who follow Run-DMC and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five into the Hall.

Beasties Adam "Ad Rock" Horowitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond showed up to accept the honor and read a statement from bandmate Adam Yauch, who has been seeking cancer treatments for the past few years. Chuck D and LL Cool J, both former labelmates of the Beasties, gave them props in induction speeches that credited the New Yorkers with bringing hip-hop into the mainstream -- and introducing their own work to a larger audience.

Since Ad Rock and Mike D chose not to perform without Yauch, an all-star crew including Kid Rock, Travie McCoy and The Roots ran through a series of Beastie smashes like "Sabotage," "Rhymin' and Stealin'" and "No Sleep Til Brooklyn."

BRAD & ANGIE ENGAGED!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting married. Angie debuted her engagement bling last week, setting off a firestorm of speculation. "Yes, it's confirmed," Brad's manager told People magazine Friday. "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time."

The couple had said they wouldn't wed until gay marriage was legalized in every state, but their six kids have been pushing for the nuptials.

Brad reportedly chose each detail of the engagement ring, which is estimated to have cost $250,000.

This will be the third marriage for Angie -- who was married to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999 and Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003 -- and the second for Brad, who was wed to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005.

JADA PINKETT SMITH RESPONDS TO RUMORS OF MARITAL STRIFE

Jada Pinkett Smith denies the persistent rumors that she and husband Will Smith are on the rocks.

Asked why the speculation won't go away, she tells French magazine Gala, "I have no idea! Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope. This year, unluckily, it's us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it."

She adds: "Will and I know the truth. We're waiting peacefully for the storm to blow over."

Jada calls rumors that they no longer live under the same roof "ridiculous... We've always lived together."

MARC ANTHONY TRIED TO GET J. LO BACK BEFORE FILING FOR DIVORCE

Before filing for divorce last week, Marc Anthony made a last-ditch attempt to reconcile with wife Jennifer Lopez.

TMZ says he had a "heart-to-heart with J. Lo a few weeks back to see if she really, truly wanted to end the marriage," but she admitted she was madly in love with her new man, Casper Smart. The gossip blog claims Marc was "blindsided" and "hurt" by that, and that's why he filed for divorce.
